Estimate Savings From Easier Food Label Removal
Share
Estimate savings from a new label by measuring the difference in active removal work and subtracting any increase in label cost. A faster peel on one tub is a useful observation, not a kitchen-wide savings figure.
Keep the comparison fair across container types
Run the current and proposed labels through comparable storage and wash cycles. Include the real mixture of smooth, scratched, metal and plastic containers. Count failures during use as well as removal problems, because an easy-to-remove label still needs to identify the food.
Measurements needed for a savings estimate
- Record baseline removal time with current labels.
- Trial the proposed format on identical containers.
- Multiply measured time change by weekly container volume.
- Subtract any higher label cost.
Separate time released from cash saved
If a trial finds a six-second average reduction over 1,000 weekly containers, it represents 100 minutes of active time. Apply the loaded rate and subtract additional supply and cleaning costs. Report time capacity separately from cash savings unless the change actually reduces paid hours or other expenses.
Compare the label format
Compare the Standard Bull blank dissolvable four-roll format. Confirm the current listing details against the requirements above.
