500 vs 1,000 Labels per Roll: Choose a Practical Size

Choose between 500- and 1,000-label rolls by checking physical fit, replacement frequency and delivered unit cost. A higher count is helpful only if the roll works at the station.

Check roll dimensions and dispensing direction

Ask for outer diameter, core size, roll width and dispensing direction. Do not assume that twice the count means twice the diameter or that all 500-count rolls have the same dimensions. Check spare-roll storage as well as the working dispenser.

Questions for a roll-size change

  • Check whether dispensers accept larger roll diameters.
  • Calculate how often the current roll is replaced.
  • Compare price per label and physical bulk.
  • Test whether a large roll is practical at each station.

Compare five-day and ten-day roll coverage

At 100 labels per operating day, a 500-count roll lasts five operating days and a 1,000-count roll lasts ten before waste. A crowded food truck may still prefer the smaller compatible format. Compare both on the actual station and price the same label size and material.

Compare the label format

Compare the Standard Bull printed removable four-roll format. Confirm the current listing details against the requirements above.
